Derek B vs Prince

Anyone retrieve a really bad UK rapper from around mid-80s by the name of Derek B?

He released a single called "Bad Young Blood brother" which heavily sampled Prince's "Sign O' The Times" song and I recall something near Prince and him getting into a seriously bad argument over it which led to suing and court.

Well, hither is Derek B's music video for "Bad Young Brother" - withal awful just interesting to hear the Prince sample used:

He wasn´t that bad for his time. He got a lot of respect back and then and he was a serious Prince fan, he fifty-fifty mentioned him in his liner notes.

If I call up correctly he was in a human relationship with an MTV VJ at the time and they also had a kid together. I think he died in a car accident. May he residuum in peace.
Britain hip hop was pretty nice back then...Hijack, DerekB, Silverish Bullet, Duke, Kobalt sixty, Son Of Noise / Hardnoise...the She-Rockers etc.

" I´d rather exist a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I bought his "Bullet from a Gun" LP on record off E-Bay a few weeks ago, simply for nostalgia purposes. Sad stuff.

I grew upwards with this album!

When I was about 10 years old, I knew every lyric to every song, and I'd rap it around my house day and night.

My parents got then annoyed, that one day my father came home and crushed my cassette copy of the album in his bare hand.

Great memories... lol
